MAAP provides the opportunity for your employees who are passionate about training to gain vital skills in mentoring. Through participation in MAAP, your business has the potential to walk away with employees who are trained mentors and who are well-resourced.

MAAP Critical Mentoring Skills Training (no charge)

The session will include:

  • Critical mentoring skills
  • Effective communication with young people
  • Understanding the transition from school-to-work
  • Supporting work readiness of Australian Apprentices
  • Enhancing workplace capability

Date: Wednesday 21st January 2015
Time: 9.00am - 3.30pm

Morning tea and light lunch will be provided             Please notify Melanie of any dietary requirements.

Attendance at MAAP Mentor training involves agreeing to actively participate as a mentor and to be matched with an apprentice/trainee by ACT MAAP Project Coordinator

If you also know of someone who would like to attend MAAP Mentor training with you and would be a great mentor, please have them complete and send to me the application attached.

Mentors are sought for their:

  • Positive approach to young people
  • Role model qualities
  • Basic knowledge of the role of the mentor (full training will be provided)
  • Desire to expand on their formal studies or share their work/life experiences
