Go girl: better job opportunities for young women

If you were a young girl dreaming about becoming a builder, would it have happened?

Or was a teacher, a nurse or a secretary more likely?

Even though conditions have improved for women who want interesting careers, some of the male-dominated occupations are still hard to get.

A report has come out today that analyses non-traditional jobs for women but this time the research firmly points the finger at the school system and how it is failing its female students.

Sally Jope is the Executive Officer of the Economic Security for Women.

She explains how we can use this knowledge to improve the economic outcomes and retirement prospects for this generation forward.
