Oliver releases new safety footwear designed to fit women’s feet
The new safety footwear range addresses the existing gap in the market for suitable industrial footwear models for women’s feet.
Women working in industrial environments have always found it challenging to find the right kind of safety footwear and are forced to use designs made for men. Ballarat-based Oliver Footwear has stepped up to the challenge by designing work boots that better meet the needs of women workers in resources, manufacturing, hospitality and services industry workplaces.
Specialising in creating safety and industrial footwear styles that are fashionable, effective and comfortable, Oliver has now revolutionised the safety footwear industry by designing a new range to fit the unique shape of women’s feet instead of scaling down a men’s boot.
The latest safety footwear model is a Women’s Wheat Zip Sided Lace Up Boot designated as Oliver Style PB49-432Z specially designed for the shape of a women’s foot. This new release joins the range of styles available in the Oliver Women’s Safety Footwear Series.
Key features of the new Oliver Style PB49-432Z women’s safety footwear include premium water resistant Nubuck leather construction; ankle high zip sided boot design with a padded contrast collar; compliance with the relevant AS/NZS2210.13 and International Standards for comprehensive worksite applications; full lining infused with Odorban Control Technology for protection against odour, staining and deterioration caused by bacteria; quick release zipper and a TECtuff toe bumper to protect against scuffing; and a NATUREform protective steel toe cap.
The new boot for women features a dual density rubber sole comprising of a lower density shock absorbing midsole and a high density, hard wearing outer sole.
The boot also uses the COMFORTcushion Impact Absorption System with PORON for superior shock absorption to maximise wearer comfort. Oliver’s PB49-432Z work boots also offer the highest slip rating of SRC as certified by SAI Global Australia, and the sole displays high resistance to mineral and organic oils and acids; superior cut, split and crack resistance; heat resistance to temperatures up to 300°C; and anti-static resistance.
The new Oliver PB49-432Z is available in metric sizes 35 to 42 from Australia’s main safety product supply houses.
