Matthew Maud is a great example of how changing careers can be a clever move, both financially and personally.
Many years ago, Matthew left school dreaming of becoming carpenter, but with no job opportunities available at the time he took an Australian Apprenticeship in furniture polishing and enjoyed 17 years in the industry, until the company he worked for closed.
The determined family man went on to find employment in the construction industry, helping a builder mate on weekends before joining the Hacer Group in 2006 as a labourer.
With a vision to progress to bigger and better things, and knowing further qualifications would help him do it, Matthew completed a Diploma of Building Construction at age 41.
Matthew has steadily moved up the ranks at Hacer Group to become a competent and experienced construction site manager of multi-million dollar projects across Melbourne, including the new $15 million Masters store at Williams Landing.comments powered by Disqus
